Multimasking: What is it and Why should we do it?

Face masks have become, especially in recent years, a very popular and loved step within the beauty routine of many. Masks, in fact, contain a higher percentage of active ingredients than moisturisers and are able to have a strong intensive effect on the skin.

Referred to as "complementary treatments", masks are quick to apply and capable of (almost instantaneously) improving the appearance of the skin. There are different types of masks on the market: cream, gel, tissue, scrub and patch for specific parts of the face (such as eyes and lips).

Choosing the right mask for your skin type becomes fundamental, as each one is designed to have a specific and beneficial effect for the skin. In fact, there are masks with the task of moisturising, revitalizing, purifying or illuminating the skin. If you have dry skin, look for a mask with nourishing and moisturizing properties. If you have oily skin, opt for a purifying mask that aims to reduce the production of sebum. If you want a more toned and radiant skin, choose a mask that is firming and illuminating at the same time.

What can you do if you want different results at the same type? The answer is: multimasking!

Multimasking is a skincare technique that consists in applying multiple face masks at the same time, differentiating them according to the area you are going to treat. Multimasking can help us maximize the results of our skincare routine: by combining, for example, a purifying clay mask for the T-zone with a hydrating one for the driest areas of the face, we will have a personalized and targeted treatment.

Follow these three steps for a healthy, radiant and regenerated skin:

EXFOLIATE with the Purifying Mask - a delicate scrub treatment formulated with Coffee and a blend of ingredients with toning actions. Apply it all over your face to prepare the skin and then rinse.
